Rehab’s For Quitters
October 25, 2009 by Mike · Leave a Comment

It appears Rehab has went as well as that little war in Iraq for the Miami Heat’s Michael Beasley. According to the Bible of gossip,TMZ,
“The photos were taken Oct. 10, after the NBA star and a female companion boarded a boat in Miami Beach during the Columbus Day Regatta. We called team officials for an explanation — due to the fact that Beasley just emerged from a stint in substance-abuse rehab last month — and boy did they give us one: TMZ spoke with Miami Heat exec Tim Donovan, who told us it was all part of a “fishing trip arranged by the team … Michael was not drinking at all … except for water and purple Gatorade.”
Yea, he was drinking Gatorade and Steve Phillips doesn’t have a birthmark next to his crotch.

Is Anyone Else Sick of Chris Berman?

The most tired act in sports was at it again last night, as bad and annoying as ever. Chris Berman put on a show for the ages, for the ages of major sucking. Please get a new act you lame ass douche bag. It’s a shame you actually had a big role in making ESPN big and now you are a joke on the level of Joe Buck Live, Joe Morgan or Tim McCarver.

Adam Jones Might Have Ordered A Shooting In 2007
January 8, 2009 by Mike · Leave a Comment

Yesterday, the Dallas Cowboys released often troubled cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones. At first glance, it was thought that Jones was released due to his play on-the-field. Not so. ESPN’s John Barr, while working on a segment for Outside the Lines, found out that in 2007 just two months after getting suspended by commissioner Roger Goodell, Jones ordered a shooting in Atlanta after a dispute. The attorney for Jones said that this is false and that they will sue ESPN. For Jones’s sake, he better hope the truth comes out and he is absolved of anything to do with the crime. Because if this is found to be true, or he was involved some how, he will likely land a lifetime ban from the NFL. More from ESPN:
The June 2007 shooting occurred outside a suburban Atlanta strip club. One of the shooting victims told “Outside the Lines” that he had a dispute with Jones inside the strip club and that not long after he and the two others left the club, a hail of bullets struck their car. The NFL knew about that incident, but charges were never brought against anyone because the victims did not see the shooter.
“Outside the Lines” obtained information that police, investigating a separate Atlanta-area case, had been told by an informant that Jones ordered the June 2007 shooting following his dispute with one of the men. Police have said while the case remains open they are not actively investigating.
Jones denied the report and told the Dallas Morning News: “It will be a lawsuit in a week against ESPN. That’s stupid. It’s so stupid I have no more comments.”

Rey Maualuga Has Been Officially Black-Listed From This Site
January 7, 2009 by Mike · Leave a Comment
That’s what you get Mr. Maualuga for messing with my girl and future Mrs. Sons of Simmons, Erin Andrews. The lifetime ban for Maualuga can only be lifted if he is drafted by the Patriots.
Maualuga joins a list of: David Wright (for the rumor he may have slept with Andrews) Mike Lansing, Eugene Chung, Andy Katenzmoyer, Darren Bragg, Pervis Ellison, Tony Danza, Roberto Costa, Pink, Craig Kilborn,Ulf Samuelsson, Jack Tatum, Sarah Jessica Parker, Scott Sisson, Steve Heinze and Dante Bichette as members of people banned from Sons of Simmons.
But, he did apologize for his actions. From LA Times:
Responding to inquiries from media outlets, USC issued a statement regarding a video that captured linebacker Rey Maualuga dancing behind unsuspecting ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews before the Rose Bowl game.
“The situation was addressed immediately,” the statement said. “Rey both e-mailed and spoke to Erin and apologized to her. He realized he made a mistake and used poor judgment. He deeply regrets his actions.”
Andrews has declined to comment. Maualuga could not be reached for comment.
“We appreciate the apology,” ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said.
