Blacula fired by BC

After 13 pretty good years at BC, Blacula Al Skinner, was fired today. Skinner took a program that was going down the tubes after the point shaving scandal and brought them back to respectability, including 7 tournament appearances since 2001. He got the Eagles to #2 ranking back in 2005 but never made it past the Sweet 16. He might not be the best X and O’s coach but is a great recruiter finding under the radar players Troy Bell, Craig Smith, Jared Dudley, Sean Williams, Sean Marshall, Rakim Sanders & Tyrese Rice. He interviewed for the St. John’s job but is that is most likely going to go to Steve Lavin. If Skinner doesn’t find a job, he can go back to filming the sequel to Blacula meets Black Dracula.

Uber Douche Geno Auriemma continues to open his mouth and say unbelievably stupid things. He made the claim yesterday that “the media” thinks that Standford is “soft” because they have white players that do not look like his black players. I find this ironic, because Don Imus, lost his job make stupid comments about race a couple years ago. (Please note: Don Imus is also an uber douche). Auriemma, a world renowned douche & egomaniac coaches Women’s COLLEGE BASKETBALL! Quit thinking you are a god or that anyone cares what you say. Just for reference below is the clip of his statement from yesterday.

A recruit out West who ended up in the Pac-10 a few years ago charged schools $10,000 just to get him on campus for an official visit. I know the kid’s name — he’s in the NBA now — and I know the school he chose, but I don’t have it nailed down to the point where I can fill in those blanks for you, and odds are good that I never will. Several coaches have told me about the $10,000 price tag, including one coach who told me he turned that offer down, but there is no proof. Do I believe it? Absolutely. Can I prove it? Absolutely not. Not without one of the coaches’ help, and that’ll never happen.
