Rondo to be Traded?
June 23, 2009 by SOS · Leave a Comment

It seems that there might be some truth to the Rondo being traded rumors. He must have done something ridiculous if the C’s are looking to trade him, why would they want to trade a 23 year old near All-Star point guard? Outrageous contract demands? Cancer in the locker room? Selfish? It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.

The Truth is Back
April 29, 2009 by SOS · Leave a Comment
After looking like a Zombie for the first 3.5 Quarters last night, The Truth stepped up like we knew he would. It just looks like he is injured or running on fumes.
A few other comments from last night’s game.
- The Celtics continue to miss too many shots
- The Bulls, like all teams should be, are great at foul shooting. It has kept them in the season.
- Doc has finally given up on Mikki Moore, quite possibly the worst player in the league.
- I always wondered what Perk could do if he played 35-40 minutes a night. I hope his Game 5 performance was an indicator of his potential value.
- The Refs let virtually everything go last night except all the touch fouls on Ray Allen? I thought that was bizarre, that he and Perk switched rolls for the night.
- Karma struck that oaf Brad Miller in his snaggletooth at the end of that game. He was trying to be an instigator all night, the basketball gods made him pay.
- Tony Allen is valueless. He is so easy to up fake. He is not a good defender, quite contrary to this wierd belief that athleticism = good defender. I hope to goodness that Tony Allen doesn’t ever play crunch time minutes again.
- How disturbing was Ben Gordon’s nut grab at the end of Game 4? He was squeezing his package soooo bad that it started to look like a bondage film.
- Let’s hope the C’s can close this out tomorrow and get some rest for those tired legs.

This Just In…The Refs add 12 seconds to the Clock so the Spurs Can Win
March 21, 2009 by SOS · Leave a Comment
Just kidding…..
In all seriousness, the officials are pissed that Bill Kennedy was fined for ejected Doc Rivers the other night. Kennedy was being a dink and trying to flex his muscles (he makes Ed Hoculi look like Richard Simmons). Doc commented on his fine before the game and I certainly got a kick out of this quote. About time the refs are getting their comeuppance and having it made publiwhen they are fined .
“I’m not going too deep into this whole thing,” Rivers said. “But to me it looks like when the whistle blowers don’t like when the whistle blows. Bottom line.”
“I do like the fact, and I will say this, coaches have been publicly fined for years,” Rivers said. “And now I think it’s good when everybody is publicly fined. …If you’re going to make it public for one you should make it public for all. And I don’t have a problem with that at all.”

The Spurs bail out the Officials
March 21, 2009 by SOS · Leave a Comment
What was a tightly contested battle all game almost turned into a major con-job. The referees made two unbelievably terrible calls in the last two minutes and another they could have gone either, all favored the Spurs. But somewhere the basketball gods where watching and the Spurs missed all 6 of their gift free throws by Tony Parker & Michael Finley. The pair are 80% FT shooters, so the odds of them missing 6 straight where astronomical. It is great to KG back even though he played 15 minutes, the intensity was back and the bench was really pumped up.

Celtics Finally Win a Game Thanks to “the Truth”
March 19, 2009 by SOS · Leave a Comment
Pierce has had back to back vintage performances and dominated in the 4th quarter last night. The Celtics need KG and Ray back to hold on to the 2 seed. So far, the pickups of Marbury & Moore have not helped. Mikki Moore is awful, he starts every game with 3 fouls. Marbury looks like a washed up old man. Let’s see how this team performs when everyone gets healthy.
