What Makes This Guy A Red Sox Fan ?

During the broadcast of last night’s Red Sox game, Christopher Sciesinski, 33, of Sarasota apparently tried to jump into the Tampa Bay Rays dugout, according to St. Petersburg Times. The guy was obviously drunk and needed to urinate like you wouldn’t believe, and he probably didn’t want to wait in those long lines and so he thought the best option might be to use the Rays restroom. But apparently going into the Rays dugout is looked upon as a crime and a safety issue. Honest mistake by Sciesinski. However, the question I have is why are they so quick to name this guy a Red Sox fan ? What are all drunk fans in Tampa classified as part of Red Sox nation ? I understand the major difficulties that they are having drawing a crowd in Tampa, and they’ll do any PR necessary to draw a crowd, but claiming that this Sarasota native is a Red Sox fan is a bit over the line. I don’t see any distinguishing marks or clothes on him making him a Sox fan. What did he actually have a Red Sox nation card in his wallet ? Is that how he was ID ? This is just a case of the Rays trying to make Boston fans look bad, and protect the image if there is one of Tampa fans. More from St. Petersburg Times:

ST. PETERSBURG — St. Petersburg police arrested a Boston Red Sox fan at the Tampa Bay Rays game after he tried to jump the dugout and run on to the field, police said.

Sgt. Karl Lounge said Christopher Sciesinski, 33, of Sarasota was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge about 10 p.m. Security staff and police had received complaints about Sciesinski earlier in the game. Officer Patrick McGovern pulled out a Taser gun as police took him into custody, Lounge said.

“The Taser itself was never discharged,” Lounge said.

Later, Sciesinski’s friend Robert Mansour, 37, of Sarasota was arrested on a disorderly intoxication charge. He started a fight with another fan, Lounge said.

Because he was being evicted from his seat (which he refused to sit in) for getting in people’s faces yelling “Let’s go Red Sox.” My seat was about 10 feet from his. All sports fans can get a little out of hand, but this guy put the noxious in obnoxious.

These are some of the comments that the a-hole had in an interview with Bay News 9 on his way out of jail.
Some of the people tried to have us kicked out once,” he said. “Didn’t work. Finally the second time security came over and I told my friend, I said, ‘You know what? If they’re kicking us out I’m getting arrested. I’m doing this,’ I said, ‘I’m running.

“I was going to run out onto the field and I was going to run across over towards the Red Sox dugout and stick my hand out and I was going to high five all the players. And I was just going to run around the field until someone tackled me.”

I think it’s pretty funny,” Sciesinski said. “You know, I’m a true fan. I don’t care. It’s not going to stop me from coming to the games. It’s not going to stop my love for the game.”
That is what makes him and asshole Red Sux fan.

Long lines? I find it hard to believe that there are enough people to create long lines.

Besides the yelling he did in and out of his seat, he was also changint “Lets Go Red Sox” in the back of the Police cruiser. My guess….he is a Red Sox Fan!
