redskins Washington Redskins Preview

The Redskins to most people are going to be in trouble this year.  The reason is that they have a new coach in Jim Zorn a guy who never been a head coach before, the third offense for Jason Campbell and a new defense.  There offense is gonna be good, they have the receivers for a west coast offense in Santana Moss and Randel ‘El, they both need to stay healthy.  They also have one of the best tight ends in Chris Cooley and a great run game in Portis.  The run game is the only thing that has not changed on the offense with Joe Bugel staying from the Gibbs regime.  The west coast offense is a an offense that needs receivers to run after the catch and that’s what the Redskins have in Moss and Randel ‘El.  The offense should be better than what people expect.

The defense over the last couple of years under Greg Williams was blitz happy and very aggressive this year they will be more conservative.  They acquired Jason Taylor from the Dolphins to give them that pass rush they need and because Philip Daniels got hurt for the year.  There defensive ends are good in Andre Carter and Taylor, the linebackers have always been good and there secondary is solid.  There defense needs to be solid this year for them because a new offense will have problems.  I think the Skins will finish 9-7.

No mention of their backup strong side linebacker? Do some research Zippa.
