Vince Wilfork Meeting With The Commish
October 28, 2008 by Mike
Per Pro Football Talk:
A league source tells us that Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is meeting in New York today with Commissioner Roger Goodell and Executive V.P. of Football Operations Ray Anderson. The meeting could result in a suspension of Wilfork, the Pats’ starting nose tackle (and one-time on-air nose picker).
The meeting is scheduled to commence after the powers-that-be meet with Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, who faces a suspension for multiple alleged violations of the Personal Conduct Policy.
As Adam Schefter of NFL Network reported on Sunday, Wilfork is a candidate for a suspension based upon his most recent on-field transgression — an elbow to the head of Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler.
