The Schilling And Shaughnessy Pissing Match Continues The Schilling And Shaughnessy Pissing Match Continues

As much as people may believe, the media and the players for the most part tend to get along. But, that is not the case for Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy and Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling. Mussolini and the Italians may have gotten along better. Whenever Shaughnessy has a chance to stick it to Curt in an article he goes right for it. And then Curt will usually stick it back to Shank Shaughnessy on Dennis and Callahan on WEEI. Plain and simple, these two really dislike one another. As evidenced by a piece in today’s Globe were after Schilling throw out the first pitch last night, Shaughnessy found this as a way to rip him:

Next came the Game 5 ceremonial first pitch. The Sox turned to the inimitable Blowhard himself – Mr. Big Game Bloody Sock – Curt Schilling. It was somewhat amazing that the Big Lug was available since the presidential election is less than three weeks away, but Schill strode out to his old mound of glory and bounced a pitch 6 feet in front of catcher David Ross. That’s what the Red Sox got for their $8 million this year – one pitch, in the dirt.
