Perfect Fit For Patriots ?
December 15, 2008 by Mike

While discussing the NFL Draft options for the three Heisman finalists (Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, and Colt McCoy) Chris Mortensen of ESPN said that league executives believe that due to his versatility, Tim Tebow is a perfect fit for the New England Patriots. There has been much debate over what type of quarterback Tebow would be in the NFL. Is he just a runner? Can he be an NFL quarterback? But who knows how the Patriots would play him. Maybe we could see a lot of Wildcat formations coming from the Patriots. However, the Patriots just used a third-round pick on Kevin O’Connell last year, and with Tom Brady coming back, (who knows exactly when) they don’t exactly need to select a quarterback in round one. Although, the Patriots could use Tebow in many different ways, perhaps playing him at the same time as Tom Brady could be an option. You’d think that defense maybe more of a concern for them. But one thing into the favor of Tebow to the Patriots, is the strong relationship that Bill Belichick and Urban Meyer have. All that being said, Tebow is still a junior and likely to return to the University of Florida.
