 Lions Fans Still Have Hope

Well, if you can’t make the playoffs, you might as well be known for something then. Right ? The Detroit Lions are getting eerily close to being the only team in NFL history to go 0-16. The only team to go win less was the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That was before the NFL changed their season to 16 games. Last season the Miami Dolphinsgot awfully close to going win less, but thanks to a Greg Camarillo touchdown catch in overtime on December 17th, the Dolphins got a win. The Lionson the other hand, have a very good chance of going win less. Their remaining six opponents have a combined record of 38-22. Their remaining opponents in order are :Bucs, Titans, Vikings, Colts, Saints, and Packers. Ouch! As difficult as it is to go 0-16, the Lions remaining schedule doesn’t present a game that they could honestly win. There best bet might that the Packers are already playoff-bound and rest everyone, but with their 5-5 record that appears unlikely. Last year we had our first 16-0 team, and this year it looks like will have our first 0-16 team. But, this team the NFL Network won’t be covering the game.
