Jobs in this economy: Business Development
March 24, 2009 by Mike
Since everyone is talking about how bad the economy is nowadays, we might as well too. Except we will put a little bit of a different spin on it, a positive spin.
Business Development Jobs are the core of companies, responsible for driving direct revenue to the company, which means if you deliver (i.e. your salary + bonus < gross revenue you bring to the firm) you should have relative job security. Even in this down economy there are still plenty of jobs in business development, some of which are highly tied to performance so you can earn a very significant salary if you perform well. You also have a great deal of independence without the hassle of owning your own business.
