Is Joba Done ?

It looks like maybe the season for Joba Chamberlain could very well be over, and with that so could the Yankees season as well. According to the NY Times, Joba is set to meet with Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. James Andrews today, and meeting this Doc typically means one thing: Tommy John surgery. It could also just be fatigue of the arm for Joba, but during the Yankee/Rangers game he grabbed and pointed to his shoulder-which is never a good sign. The idea of Hank Steinnbrenner to rush Joba to the starting rotation this year may not have been such a great idea. With thowing only a limited amount of innings to going to throwing 6-7 innings were probably the reason for the pain in his shoulder. The Yankees are optimistic about Joba’s shoulder, but flying down to Birmingham to see Dr. Andrews can’t mean good news.
