ESPN At It Again
September 10, 2008 by Mike
ESPN is at it again, they are just like a radio station over playing a hit song. They did it once with the Brett Favre Saga and now they are doing it with the Tom Brady injury. It has been 3 days into the post Brady period, for only this year, and they have had about 30 different analysts answer the same question over and over and over again. Are the Pariots done? Who is Matt Cassel? What the F–K, stop bringing it up. Today they have a question who will be missed more on his team Tom Brady or Shawn Merriman? Are you kidding me, that has to be the stupidest question in all of sports. It’s like who is a better coach Belichick or Mangina (Mangini)? What is more of a loss? 50 tds or 12.5 sacks. 2 time Sperbowl MVP and League MVP or someone who hasn’t won anything. ESPN today had Matt Cassel’s USC baseball coach on to talk about him. His baseball coach, Why not Carrol? They want to know who is, he is the starting QB for the Patriots, and The PATS are gonna beat the Jets this weekend. This is more fuel for the Pats to prove everyone wrong.
I want to put the end of the Brady talk. My hindsight is 20/20, the one thing about the injury is that it was in the first game, so he has 8-10 months to recover so he wont miss anytime next year, and he will heal his other nagging injuries. Also if the Pats do play bad this year, they will get another good draft pick. If Cassel plays well we have a good back up or we can trade him in the off season. Plus we still have Moss, Welker a good offensive line and a good defense. Cassel has Brady as a mentor, so Brady will be in his ear helping him along the way.
