 Enough Already!

The saga of Brett Favre continues, and now comes word, that the Packers are sending CEO Mark Murphy on a plane to Mississippi to persuade Favre not to report to training camp. Murphy, will appear in the office of Favre’s agent Bus Cook along with Favre, to discuss a plan for Favre to stay at home as the Packers attempt to trade him. Something has to come to a head in this situation; its been going on way too long, and each person in this deal is holding the other hostage. On ESPN, they are driving this story into the ground, with what seems like 24 hours of Favre coverage on a daily basis. We have Chris Mortensen telling us about every phone call Favre gets or makes. This situation needs a resolution, and it needs it quick. Now I understand how the rest of the nation feels about when ESPN does Red Sox/Yankees coverage. The Favre saga on ESPN is like O.J. coverage back when he killed his wife and Ron Goldman. We even had Packers GM, Ted Thompson beg Favre not to show up because he claimed that would get him fired. The Packers need to stop holding out for the moon, and just deal Favre to the Jets, or the Bucs, just get this situation over with. It’s become a complete fiasco that is annoying everybody. Come Sunday, Favre should be in a different uniform, well we all hope so at least.

UPDATE: Brett Favre showed up late to this meeting. Whatta Guy!
