Brandon Jennings, The New Curt Flood

The top high school recruit Brandon Jennings, is skipping College and and will play in Europe for a year. This isn’t going to make David Stern too happy. Jennings, didn’t have the grades either, but he is starting a new trend that a lot of high school players will follow. He was the top recruit in the country and supposed to go to Arizona, but due to grades and a nice offer in Europe and won’t be attending Arizona anytime soon. It makes all the sense in the world for the kids who don’t want to go to College, but want to play pro ball for a year to go to Europe. Why you ask? Because they get paid, don’t have to go to classes and worry about grades (like they ever did), and also European women, oh and they can smoke pot too and not get suspended. Did I mention smoking pot? This is all David Stern’s fault. He put in the age limit, and now the Brandon Jennings of the world are giving David Stern a big F You ! There could be potential here for Europe to steal away a couple of young hot shot prospects. It’s not like Europe doesn’t pay well. They can make more money there, then they would in the NBA as a rookie ; minus the sponsorships they could get. Just ask Sasha Kaun. So years from now when a lot of College Freshmen are playing in Europe, they have Brandon Jennings to thank.
